Our Story

This dream was born where most dreams are, in a garage. Derek Stewart has always loved food, of all kinds. So, the dreamer started dreaming about pickles, BBQ sauce, smoked meats, and more. Derek then approached his wife, Laura, with his case that if this was going to continue, they needed to go brick and mortar. Thus, The Meatatory or "meat laboratory" was born.

Derek and Laura, together with their young daughters, and the help of many are bringing the best cuts of meats, sausages and burgers with flavor profiles only a mad scientist could dream of. We dare to be different and pride ourselves on being meat masterminds.
